Discover the delights of the magnificent North Queensland region. North Queensland stretches from the cattle country around Rockhampton in the south to the delights of the Daintree north of Cairns and includes the Barrier Reef and the famous Whitsunday Islands group.

Rainfall is more intense in summer than winter and extensive falls can occur in association with the passage of tropical storms. So make sure you pack the right gear. The long, drier winters are dominated by warm, moist south-east trade winds, which maintain the region's relative humidity. The days are clear and sunny. In July the average overnight minimum temperatures are between 9deg C and 18 deg C. Either way it’s unlikely you will ever need more than the lightest jacket.

From the magnificent Great Barrier Reef to the World Heritage listed Rainforests and the diverse attractions of the tropical Atherton Tablelands, North Queensland offers the visitor a multitude of options for holidaying and investment. Whether you want to just relax in tropical splendor, bushwalk in World Heritage rainforest or enjoy the World famous fishing and sailing on the Great Barrier Reef, North Queensland has a wealth to offer.  Resort accommodation shows a very healthy return in the North with high occupancy rates. Resort property in the region is also some of the best priced in Queensland. What better excuse do you need to add a little of North Queensland to your property portfolio.

Sunshine Coast

The pristine surf beaches and rainforest hinterland of the Sunshine Coast is situated just a short hours drive North of the hustle and bustle of Brisbane city. There has always been a debate over where the Coast starts and finishes. As far as the team at RAAS are concerned the Sunshine Coast is as much a state of mind as a geographic location. As Bribie Island is the nearest beach to Brisbane where you can let your tensions ease and feel the white sand slip between your toes, we claim Bribie as the start of the Sunshine Coast. From here we also claim every beach as far as Noosa and everything west to the Blackall Ranges. RAAS Real Estate regularly has property listings for sale on the Sunshine Coast in areas such as Alexandra Headland, Bribie Island, Caloundra, Coolum, Currimundi, Golden Beach, Marcoola, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Noosa, Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Hervey Bay. Be sure to browse our database of properties and choose from a range of permanent and holiday units & apartments.

The Sunshine Coast has an area of some 3200 square kilometres and a population of only 260,000 people - that's around 80 people per square kilometre. The area is most famous for its surfing beaches, beach, estuary and big game fishing and a host of world class accommodation facilities and restaurants.  The sun shines around 290 days a year and it rains around 110 days a year. If you think that's too many days then remember, on the coast, just because it rains, doesn't mean it rains all day. Our average year round maximum is 27 deg Celcius and our year round minimum is 16 degrees Celcius. If you like it a little cooler you can escape for the day to the rainforest hinterland and discover the delights of villages such as Flaxton, Montville and Maleny.

The Sunshine Coast is also a great stepping off spot for exploring the southern reaches of The Great Barrier Reef. Alternatively, the wonders of The World Heritage listed Fraser Island are only a short drive away along the beaches of the Cooloolah region. The Sunshine Coast is such a diverse locality.
There is the Pumicestone Passage, a unique waterway that separates Caloundra from Bribie Island. This protected waterway stretches for over 50 kilometres and is perfect for sailboarding, fishing and in the right weather, anchoring your ocean going cruiser while you shop in downtown Caloundra.

The northern end of Bribie Island is in pristine condition and can be accessed by permit from Woorim Beach, Bribie in Four Wheel Drive vehicles.
From the Northern tip of Fraser Island right down to the Southern tip of Bribie Island and across to the western limit in the Blackall Ranges, the Sunshine Coast offers a little bit of everything that makes it one of Australia's premier tourist destinations. Your holiday unit investment can make this paradise your home away from home.
