"Undeniably, intentionally different"

The old adage is that you don't need a lawyer to assist with a property transfer .........until you need a lawyer. The trouble is if you have been going it alone, by the time you find out you need a lawyer it is often too late to minimize the damage. Legal fees for property transfers in Queensland are not expensive. RAAS always recommends that you consult a lawyer to assist you whether you are buying or selling.
RAAS unit contracts are drawn on the standard REIQ contract that is approved by The Queensland Law Society.  Despite this we recommend that all buyers and sellers seek out the services of a Queensland law firm. It is strongly suggested that interstate buyers and sellers also seek the services of a Queensland Law firm to handle the transfer as each state has different legislative procedures related to the conveyancing of real property. If you decide to use the family interstate lawyer you will likely find they refer them to a Queensland Law firm in any event and to be safe they are likely to choose one of the larger more expensive firms. As  RAAS handles sales right across Queensland we have daily dealing with a wide range of firms and can make a recommendation if requested.
